GRANITE 
Granite is the most popular surface in today's countertop market. It is desired for its natural beauty and earth like color tones. Each granite countertop is unique to that individual job. Due to the nature of material it is important that each job is done form the same lot of granite. It is also important to know that if you are making a color decision off of a loose piece of material, that their are no guarantee that the countertop installed will be an exact match. Some colors are more consistent than others, but all have their own unique style. The seams in a granite top will be visible and the location of those seams is normally determined by the fabricator. The surface of granite should also be sealed ever year or at least ever other year. This is important for the overall life of the countertop. Resealing the surface will prevent any potential for staining and also helps prevent any bacteria growth in the pours of the surface.
